CEE Networking Event: Fall 2017
When: Tuesday, September 26, 2017
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Where: Yeh Student Center in Newmark Lab
This event will be a great opportunity for companies to give a short synopsis of their company, network with students and help create brand awareness within the CEE department. This event is in conjunction with the CEE Fall 2017 Job Fair to be hosted on Wednesday and Thursday, September 27th and 28th. Give students the opportunity to gain insight into your companies hiring process before the job fair!
This year we will be offering companies an option to host two individual information sessions or join a panel discussion for both sessions during the Networking Night. By holding the panel discussions it allows us to host a few more companies during our Networking Night, giving students more exposure to recruiters.
Registration is limited for this event and spaces are available, first come, first serve. Preferences are given to companies attending the CEE Job Fair. If your company is not attending the Job Fair, there is a fee to attend the Networking Night. Confirmation emails will be sent approximately 2 weeks before the event. If your company is on the waitlist, you will receive an email closer to the deadline, September 12, if space is available.
Agenda for the Fall 2017 Networking Event:
6:40 – 7:10 PM – Information Session/Panel Discussion 1
7:20 – 7:50 PM – Information Session/Panel Discussion 2
8:00-8:30 PM – Informal Dinner/Meet and Greet
Complimentary food will be served during the Meet and Greet Dinner.
The event will offer companies the option of two thirty-minute information sessions or panel discussions interacting with other company representatives. Companies will have the option to select an information session or panel discussion during registration. The Meet and Greet Dinner will end the evening with an informal social gathering.
The information sessions will consist of a brief introduction from a CEE Student Liaison. The information sessions will allow the company representative to inform students about the company, their work, and any experiences related to the job, or career advice that you can give. The sessions will also provide students an opportunity to ask any questions they may have.
The panel discussions will consist of a brief introduction by each company representative. CEE Student Liaisons will be present to assist company representatives during the sessions. The panel discussion will allow the company representatives to inform students about their companies their work, and experiences related to the job, or career advice. The sessions will also provide students an opportunity to meet with multiple companies at the same time. This is new to 2017 as we received feedback last year from both students and companies who were interested in this format being added to our event.
CEE Student Liaison – Each company will be assigned a CEE student who will assist them during the evening. This student will guide all company representatives to their room and help them with any special requests or needs. The liaison will also inform representatives if their session begins running over the 30 minutes, to assist with keeping the event on time and moving.
The Meet and Greet Dinner is an informal way for students and companies to interact while enjoying food and drink.
